Has anyone used Little Green floor paint?

I’m contemplating painting my pine floor boards and after researching paints, looking at oil based Little Greene floor paint. My boards are currently varnished, so was going to hire a sander, strip to bare wood, knot seal, undercoat and then put floor paint down, but am wondering if all this is really necessary? Can I hand sand to give a key, then put floor paint straight down?
Has anyone painted floor boards and if so what prep did you carry out? Any help would be appreciated! Huge job to undertake so want to make sure I do it properly! Thanks

I've done this in 2 rooms. I don't like the chemicals in the floor paint and the woman in the shop suggested using eggshell, which I have done.

In our bedroom there was already paint on the floor, I sanded lightly, undercoated any bare bits and then did 2 or 3 coats.

In our bathroom I sanded with a belt sander back to bare wood. Some parts were hard to get to so the pint has just gone over the varnish.

Undercoat (spare other eggshell) then 3 coats of the eggshell.

Some scrapes in our bedroom now, none in the bathroom so far.
