LG water-based paint for wooden kitchen

Just bought little greene paint water-based egg shell for our wooden kitchen cabinets on the advice of shop (paint specialists) who said there was no difference in quality/durability between this and oil based. The disadvantage of the latter is smell and drying time.
However, I'm now having a niggling doubt and wondering whether I should have bought oil based.
Anyone have experience of water based egg shell on wooden kitchen cabinets?

Hi I have water based eggshell by Mylands on my kitchen cabinets & it has been really good, no marks scuffs etc & wipes down easily.
Hate to say it, but cupboards were previously painted in Lg & it wasn't nearly as hard wearing & it was oil based.
