Hi all.
I don't know where to start. My dearly mum needs a new paint job all over the house, high roof and larger than average 1930s semi style. So far, decorators skimmed and stripped most things and got rid of all 80s wallpaper, but she's now asked me to decide on paints. Problem is, there is a lot of woodwork on walls too, and she's insisting on retaining her red carpeting and light around the house is ok but not too bright. Also, as she's getting older, we have to bear in mind we may sell in a few years so must keep in with tradition but also she likes light colours. Any ideas? Paint the wall woodwork the same as walls or slightly different? So far I was gearing towards farrow and ball. I tried ammonite but too bluey grey. Did like Sail White by crown as a tester but that causes an issue as they won't do that Eggshell colour for woodwork and can't do the skirting and wood and doors in emulsion, so any similar or even better combination I would be grateful. P.s wish to keep ceiling as is. Thanks.
