Neptune - worth the extra £££?

Any other recommendations?

Is it painted wood you're after? Frankly, the top of the range Ikea chairs are pretty nice. Not sure that I'd pay many times over for mariginally nicer chairs from Neptune. Other brands that do nice wooden chairs are Maison du Monde and Oka.

If it's for the dining room rather than the kitchen table, then I'd suggest upholstered ones as they are much more comfy and great to sit in for hours.

thanks JoJo. Yes definitely painted wood. We don't have a dining room so chairs are where everything happens - homework, paint, felt-tips etc. Plus my youngest is still at the squishing food into things stage so upholstered is not really for us :-) Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have a look!
