I want to get new carpet for my apartment would it look silly if I have I different carpet in lounge, hall and bedrooms with it all on one floor

Just have what you like. It doesn't matter that it isn't the same all the way through. There is an obsession on MN with that though. I would find it extremely boring to have the same flooring everywhere.
