Can I show you my dds'bedroom?

I recently swapped bedrooms with my DDs so they could have the bigger one and I've sectioned it off so they have half each. Just put the finishing touches to it (they each chose their own colours, I just put them to use). I took a video but can't attach it, I'll put it in next post. I know it's probably not to everyone's taste but I did it all myself and I'm very proud (it's paint not wallpaper)

That's really nice, lovely that each dc has a space decorated to their tastes.

I actually made the Y on Emily too as I bought them when she was born but lost the Y. Need to attempt dd2s name. Going to try to cut it out of some wood I have.

Looks great! I love having a nosey around people's homes so love the vid. Looks like your cat and dog like the new room too! How are you finding being in a smaller room? What do your DC think of their new bedroom?

Looks lovely. We will swap rooms with DDs eventually and do the same. Was going to build a stud wall but the Kallax works really well.

I love the colours you've used. I bet DDs love it

Great use of the shelving to create two cosy spaces. Lovely.

The smaller room isn't too bad now I've rearranged it 3times the bed has to be up against the wall but still plenty of room to get round. The front is a lot noisier than the back though! Having to wear earplugs. The dds' love it, but they still bicker (the main reason I did it) but it's nice for them to have their own space. I can't imagine it staying that tidy for long though!
Thanks for all the positive reviews and I love a good nosey in other people's house, which is why I did the video (and so you could see how it was arranged, can't really tell on a photo.

I really like it. It reminds me of the twins bedroom in "Blackish"

Busy doing dd1s room, then it's my turn. I cannot decide on colours though. I did want teal to match my bedspread, but dd2 pinched it Wink so wanted something different.

I took them to b and q and said go pick a colour (from the colour cards) dd2 comes back with 2, dd3 came back with 5 Shock so got the little tester pots (£3 each) and those were more than enough.

Ha. I liked your video.

The dog was clearly thinking "Looks different but I'm still allowed to jump on the beds, right?"

That looks great OP.
If anyone would like to give me any ideas for my daughter's bedroom she's nearly a teen and is fed up of pink and wants a complete change. She wants it to look more 'grown up' any suggestions gratefully received.

Pannalash, this was dd1s bedroom when she was 11. She's 13 now and gone for a picture collage wallpaper. Took a pic trying not to get the mess in as it's not finished yet! Lol

Popchyck I had to keep telling her to get off so I could straighten the covers to get the pics Grin

You've done a brilliant job! I did dd's bedroom plain white, it took 3 weeks and nearly killed me (a lot of prep and ceiling, woodwork etc plus frozen shoulder) but every time I go in there I think "Ooh, I did this!" And she loves it. You'll gave that with knobs on! Well done :-)
(As an aside, my frozen shoulder was cured too in the process)

I think you should be very proud, OP. How lovely to do that for your children.
