Extension - 2 bathrooms or ensuite?

We're currently planning an extension and are relocating the bathroom.

It's planned that the old, smaller bathroom will become an en suite for 1 of the bedrooms and we would then move into this room and it would be the Master.

I'm now considering staying in the current "master" room and having the 2nd shower room as a 2nd bathroom which is accessed from the hall.

Not having an en suite doesnt bother me and I think having both bathrooms open to everyone would be the best solution. The only thing is both these rooms would be beside each other - would it be v strange to have 2 bathrooms side by side??

I want to make the house usuable for our family but am trying to keep in mind resale value for the future too. what are your thoughts?

I think if I were buying I'd prefer to have 2 bathrooms/shower rooms accessible to everyone (I'm thinking of what will happen when I have two teenagers.)

I would prefer 2 bathrooms rather than 1 en suite and 1 bathroom.

Sounds like if someone else did want to make it into an ensure mite they could just remodel the bathroom and put a door in anyway?

Could you make the second bathroom accessible from the hall and from your bedroom?? You'd have a win:win then

I'd prefer two bathrooms open to everyone.

We have a jack and Jill - doors into hall and master bedroom. I thought it was a bit stupid but I love it now.
