Ideas on wall colour please

Please help. I am not sure what colour to paint my wall. The picture attached is my dinning room. We have have just put up that grey feature wallpaper on one side of the wall. But, I am totally confused and don't know what colour to paint the other side of the wall which is currently covered in a horrible textured old white wallpaper that needs to go ASAP. I have got a red coach covered in a white & black stripy cover to protect my red sofa from my little soldiers. Any ideas please. I am sorry about the messy dinning room🙄 The kids simply refused to play in their playroom but are just determined to mess up my dinning room and drive me totally potty by bring their toys to the dinning room😟 My dinning table totally cover with made up puzzles for the past 3 days ☹️

Pale grey if you want it to be neutral.

Green would be nice, pistachio or lime if you're feeling funky.

Thanks a bunch DameDeDo, i like grey but I don't think I am bold/brave enough to paint wall green, lime or pistachio 😬 Your suggestion is highly appreciated

I would definitely go for grey and try and completely match the dark grey in the diamond in the pattern. That way it will connect the walls together and make the room feel cohesive and balanced. The darker grey is also a lovely complement to the red sofa. Good luck.
