Wood or LDF shutters?

I'm planning to get cafe style shutters in my living room and can't decide between wood or LDF.

Apart from the obvious difference (the cost!) is there any reason why most would not choose LDF?

I currently have UPVC sash windows so LDF shutters wouldn't look out of place, not would be interested in painting them. I've heard they warp over time is this true?

Any advice or tips much appreciated please!
Thanks.

I have LDF in my house, they look just like wood ones. Nothing plastic like about them.

Had them now for 5 years, not warped or changed colour. I don't have a period home so didn't feel it warranted splashing out for wood. But now I have them, I'm not sure you can tell they're not wood.

I have wood blinds.... had them for 6 years. They've discoloured through the sun. And they are so difficult to clean as you can only use a damp cloth. I wish I had got the plastic ones that look like wood so I could give them a good clean

THanks all for your responses! Will go with LDF - also helps they are much cheaper too!
