New pillows and duvet

Hi! We have just bought a new king size bed and going to replace our old double duvets and pillows but I have no idea where would be best. Our current ones are just cheap ones from Ikea or similar from my student days which I probably just grabbed and made do, they are great as can fit in washing machine but I would love something more luxurious. What should I be looking for?

Depends, if you have no allergies then goose down are the most luxurious, but expensive. John Lewis and Dunelm have good quality feather and down duvets and pillows.
If you are near a Rackhams outlet store, they sometimes have very good bargains.
Some duvets come in two pieces that snap together for the winter and then come apart for a summer weight.

I have the John Lewis synthetic ones with a thin and a thicker one that popper together. Means you can have a really thick double layer duvet if you want warmth but it can still fit in washer

I bought a new feather/down one from Argos last year and it's lovely. It wasn't that expensive either - I got their own brand but the slightly posher one. Would highly recommend!

Thanks for replies. Are you aware of the poppers when in bed?
Google showed soak and sleep, anyone used? Seem expensive but not sure if that's because of quality. Have had dunelm bedding before so might look there again, thanks.

I like the popper together ones as I can vary the warmth with the weather. I'd recommend buying a size bigger than the bed, more to snuggle under!
