Or 'tother way round?

Our teen boys have East facing bedrooms and get woken up v early by the sun.
Which works best ? Blackout curtains , with or without a blind , or normal curtains and a blackout blind?

We've had to go with blackout blinds and blackout curtain and still light pops out the sides......

Thanks - - that sounds extreme smile

I' m leaning to blackout curtains and normal blinds , so the strongest sun can be kept out without the room having to be pitch black , but ideas welcome - and where to get them from!

I got blackout blinds and non blackout curtains - figured the curtains would be cheaper to replace and I could keep the blinds neutral. Measured up and ordered the blinds online for v cheap.
