Teenage boy room ideas please!

My son's room needs some structural work done on it so it's a good opportunity to redo the room for him,

He's nearly 15. He has a loft bed with a desk under but he doesn't like working there as it feels claustrophobic apparently! 😬

What do your boys have and love in their rooms?

Thanks!

DS1 has a double bed, wall mounted TV, xbox, full length mirror on one of his wardrobe doors. He spends ages in his room!
Not a great set up for homework but he does most of that at the kitchen table.

Mine has very neutral decor (off white + dark blue) with mahoosive canvases of cars/engine bays Grin, a full height shelf to display his Lego Technic and a desk.
He has a single bed but it's a full 1 meter wide and although he is approaching 6ft there are no complaints yet. He is 13.

DS1 otoh still have curtains with stars on them and an alphabet graphic canvas on the wall. And a mobile over his bed Grin - he is 14 and does not want to change a single thing...

Has your DS expressed any preferences?

Oh, they have no TV/games console in their rooms, but we don't police their iPads... Hmm

Hi

Thank you! My kids have a games room with baby football, snooker, PS4- lucky they! So I try to keep technology out of the bedrooms.

He's not really expressed much preference. Red walls- I think not! 😆

Pacific- I love that your son still had his mobile!! Mine still has his teddies 🤓

Oh, we had one very very red wall - it's the one DS2(13 last week) insisted we overpaid in 'sapphire blue' Grin. The red looked great, but it is HIS room, it's only paint and it was not black which is what he originally wanted, so blue it was.

We got some rather big canvas prints of a car and an engine bay that he chose - the whole doing-up of his room was his birthday present this year and he and his dad had some major male bonding going on while painting the wall Grin

DS1 still has his favourite teddy (actually a tiger) in a mini-Grobag in his bed.... he has had the first girl visitor and he is totally unapologetic about his tiger Grin

Our DS had a white and blue bedroom with light wood furniture.
In the room he has a double bed.
A flat screen telly.
X box
PlayStation
And stereo

Lego and toys all kept neat in a storage unit.

He spends hours in his room, he is comfortable in there. It's his own little space and he should have it exactly how he wants it. It makes him happy.
