Can't decide between....

I am redecorating the living room, It has one wall papered, two walls I have already painted light grey and then the back wall goes up the stairs onto the landing. So the stairs come down into the livingroom along the whole back wall.

I am planning to paint that wall a darker colour.

so do you prefer

the second one, I think the darker colour might be too much going along the wall and up the stairs, unless it's a very spacious house with lots of light.

I love the greeny blue colour. What is it?

Thanks, I hate making decisions like this!

It is Dark Dug Egg, it's from Wilkos Durable range. I am trying to do classy on a budget.

User your descriptions made me actually laugh! Stinky green.

The second one is the classy option IMO!

The second one, lovely combination. I have found Wilko paint superior to many more expensive ones.
The dark grey will absorb the light, something you may not want on the stairs.

User I must say I have never heard of stinky green, is it an actual colour?

It seems the green is unanimous. Grin

Well the pale grey colour has dried with a very soft lilac sheen to it. I am so disappointed and feel like I either have to go back to the original Grey idea with colourful accessories to brighten it up or re paint those walls again with an off white colour.

Greys can be a pain like that.

If it helps b and q are selling dulux timeless classics for £18 a tin at the moment instead of £25. Engraved locket is a gorgeous grey that we're using in our bedroom. No lilac to be seen.

Thanks Purpledaisies I will have a look. I really wanted a durable paint as I have three children and a dog messing up my lovely walls. I will definitely have a look though.
