I am decorating my house and have a specific idea of what type of console I would like for the entrance.
I have found a few places that do them but they are always Australia or Us company that do not ship to Europe!
So I turn to you... here is what Im looking for, have you seen anything similar by any chance?

Thank you!

Why not have it made? Find a local wood workshop and show them the design?

oka has similar but not exactly the same

The first 2 pictures are similar. The third is completely different.
What you need are reclaimed turned newel posts newelposts and a waxed board/plank top.
A real carpenter can make it with risers and cross stretcher like picture 1 and 2. An amateur can stick a board on the top and bottom like picture 3. I prefer the former. Good hunting!

Or get something like this and put a new top on: probably the easiest and cheapest way as dark oak is out of fashion.

They are lovely, agree 1 & 2 look much nicer than 3. It probably can be made rather easily too and a lot cheaper.
A uk shop eBay actually has something similar for around ÂŁ400, but the pillars are a stainless steel which I doubt very much would go with your decor idea.
I'd definitely see about having one made and that way you could then have a well crafted piece to your exact specifications.

and another
There are actually loads on ebay if you are prepared to strip/cut down/replace the top and paint the legs yourself.

Not that chunky style, but a reasonably priced one here. Scumble Goosie will also make them to order.

So I did see a Carpenter about having one made and he quoted me 600ÂŁ and as the ones I found online were about half that price I was hoping to find one already made.

I looked a lot on ebay but most of the legs of the table are too small. I want them to be quite large and they usually are a bit too small.

Not quite the same thing, but could something like this be an alternative? You have to scroll past the twigs and pebbly shit! Grin

Or maybe phone around a few salvage yards to see if they have any chunky balustrades? Although salvage yards are not a cheap option ime.

Thats actually an amazing suggestion! I wanted a console table on our old house but didnt have the space so I did what you suggested and it looked lovely ! However our hall way is quite big now and it actually needs a big table.

Thank you for your suggestion though its great!

The table you're looking for is Benzara 14840

www.amazon.com/Deco-79-14840-Console-Table/dp/B00U46Y0LA?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

You could order it to a US address forwarder like Borderlinx:-

Perhaps if you 'like' the picture on IG, leave a comment telling 'Greyjuniper' her console table is gorgeous and ask where did she got it? Who wouldn't welcome a compliment and spill the beans over their purchase?

Sorry I've never used Borderlinx - I thought they seemed a good potential shipper as I thought they were part of DHL, but don't think that's correct. Hope you can find a suitable shipper!

Lashy I did that (but thanks nonetheless for the great suggestion) and she got back to me and I then emailed the company about purchasing a table but they dont deliver to the uk. Its all so silly its just a tiny piece of furniture a short boat ride away they could make the effort !
