White for corridor with no windows

Our house is built into the side of a hill so we've got a corridor with three rooms and a bathroom off it that gets no natural light at all. I'm struggling to decide what colour to paint it beyond whitish so it's not so dark.

The carpet is cream, all the doors and skirting boards will be white (eventually!). The only room that's currently decorated is a copy of Farrow and Ball's oval room blue.

All suggestions gratefully received. Smile

Your house sounds cool :)

I'd be tempted to make a virtue of the darkness and go with a deep or vibrant colour rather than white.

I would also go darker with lots of mirrors and wall lights

Oooh, interesting. I hadn't thought of going darker. I love the Breton blue in the dulux timeless range.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Something like F&B Pitch Blue would look amazing, or I might go for a vivid emerald green. Basically any vibrant colour would look amazing with some snazzy wall art/mirrors etc.

or go all Abigail Ahern with a nearly black shade?

Add daylight bulbs into a lighting system for daytime and sift white bulbs for evening and night time too !
Can be a built in posh lighting system or simply a couple of lamps ! The effect will be better than darkness !

That's a great idea oneplan. We currently have bare energy saving light bulbs-it's a great look... Grin

I love the pitch blue shade vita. I think I need a trip out for some testers.
