I'm looking for a gas fire which looks just like a contemporary freestanding wood burner - Danish style. This kind of thing: www.stovelounge.co.uk/westfireStoves

So far, I'm struggling.

Can anyone help? Thanks

We have a Yeoman's CL5 (I think) gas wood burner. We couldn't decide between real and wood for ages but I'm so glad we got this one. Instant heat and its looks really good.

Thanks Fields.

That was one I had my eye on. At the showroom the lady was wowing us with tales of how wonderful real wood burners are - so now we're in a quandary.

Will have another look at the Yeoman.

I have a new gas fire and a new log burner. Both look gorgeous and heat up large rooms. BUT I find the log burner incredibly expensive to run. We get through wood so quickly and it's expensive to buy so the gas fire is much more cost efficient. as lovely as the log burner is, I'd go for gas if I had the chance again....

They're expensive on that website.
I've been looking at the gas stoves at b&q. Seem rather nice.
