Help me find a comfy armchair to read in?

DH has finally agreed to a chair in our bedroom for purposes of curling up and reading. Budget is about £500 and house is Victorian so would like a nod to a button back. I've seen a few things that are lovely on sites like loaf but they are all about £800-£1000 where else can I look? Rural area so unfortunately not near any large shopping centres - needs to be done online . Any help would be great

My very favorite chair to read in was a chesterfield. I used to sling my legs over and sit in it sideways.

I think chairs with large, square seats are best to curl up in.

Perhaps a cuddle chair?

I think I do need a slightly bigger than normal armchair- I've seen some called love seats that look great- it's more that having wrestled DH to £500 they all seem to be more expensive than I thought. Want to buy a decent one and then age gracefully into it over years until I rarely get out. Maybe eBay is my friend here

I've wondered about doing this on and off for a couple of years but I never find the right one. I'm about to acquire a dressing room, though, so I'll follow if you if you don't mind.

Have a look at the ikea strandmon chair - we have 2 and I love them!

Is it really comfy? I'm wondering if it would be big enough , can you curl your knees up on it?

I have a cuddle chair - best thing ever . It's upholstered in very soft jumbo cord - I love it .

The strandmon? Yes it is. Also because of the high back the seat bit is quite deep, so I like to sit in it diagonally with my legs hanging over one arm. DH has the matching footstool and likes to sit with his legs up proper old man with slippers and a pipe style :)

I came on to say the ikea strandmon. I have it in green with the foot stool and it's super comfy. My osteopath has it in grey, and is approving of its supportive qualities. I've been on sick leave for weeks and sitting in mine reading for hours at a time and it's fab.

I'm tempted by the IKEA chair as its such a good price and if it's not 'the' chair I can keep it for when we eventually get a lounge we want to sit in ( long doing up house saga). In my head though I'd like something like this

That looks wonderfully squishy doing.

Like that (lemsip?) ad a few years back in which the armchair grew and puffed up.
