Anyone ever bought graded white goods?

We need a new integrated vented tumble dryer and I wondered if anyone has ever had success buying graded items? White Knight sell items which have dents or are the unbranded version of their products. They state that the functionality is unaffected but I'm just one of those shiny-out-of-the-box-brand-new people!

Yes bought a JL dishwasher and Bosch fridge freezer both half price. They each a tiny dent, did not affect guarantee.

Yes, I used to work for an electrical retailer who used to periodically sell off graded goods. Often they'd been rejected on delivery because of a small mark, scratch or dent (we actually called referred to them as 'scratch and dents') but were perfectly functional. I bought several items over the years...all the white goods in my first house were graded. Usually, the cosmetic defect wasn't even visible once placed between cupboards.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy graded again as long as I could inspect it first.

As for White Knight, the only product I ever owned from the company was a gas tumble drier. I had to leave it behind when we moved as the new house wasn't plumbed for a gas drier. By that stage, it had been in constant use for over 13 years and still going strong. Only needed repaired once and that was my fault (tried to dry a duvet in it and burned out the motor). Based on my limited experience of the brand, I'd happily buy again.
