Dulux colour matching for F+B

We've had a lot of work done on the stonework of our house and now it's looking pretty good. We've got mahogany stained garage doors which are tatty but serviceable (not rotten or anything) Our (new) front door is a F+B colour.

Ideally we'd replace the garage door and match with the front door but we've not really got the money just now. As a stop gap we want to paint the doors to spruce then up but if we did in F+B we'd be looking at a couple of hundred with base coat and it seems a lot for a "cheap" solution!

Has anyone colour matched F+B colours using Dulux? I know the finish isn't exactly the same but are the colours close enough? Is it a reasonable compromise?

i don't know about dulux but I have just had F&B matched by Johnstone's and it looks brilliant. The decorator said that the coverage was great too.

Brewers matched a f and b paint perfectly for me using their own brand. Cost less than half the price

My experience of this is poor, but my painter did it, might not have been Dulux. My front door is quite frankly bizarre.

I think that with Dulux they just 'match' to the closest available Dulux shade - which may or may not be a very accurate match.

I believe that Valspar is mixed to the actual tones though.

Valspar is excellent! I think dulux or crown (can't remember which!) have a luxury range which are lovely eggshell colours much like F&B.
