dining chairs and dinnerware - recommendations?

I need dining chairs or stools that stack and won't look ugly if left out in view either in the living room or hallway - any recommendations please? They'll be for occasional use.

And I'm looking for lovely crockery/dinnerware? I love stuff in Anthropolpgie and the like but can't afford it!
