This will put me but never mind.

I bought two new rugs yesterday.

I can't get used to them. The bluey-grey one is in a sitting room I've not yet finished. It's got grey sofas and I would like to have greens and blues for cushions etc. I nearly bought a grey rug but thought that too much grey.

The red one I thought was more orange. The dogs like it! But it's dark red with grey tinges. That room has white shelves/ units and orange cushions on a grey sofa. See pic for existing decor.

Have I boobed?

Like the first one, not that keen on the red although the dogs clearly approve!

Yes I might just put it in their bed and get a grey one instead!

I have 2 labs as well, they seem to love those sort of rugs!

The blue-grey one looks fantastic with the grey sofas and wooden floor. I think that is a success.
The red one is ok, nothing special but totally fine.

Ha I've just bought the natural coloured version of your red rug and cannot shift our golden retriever off it. I like the bluey one and don't mind the red colour but it'll show all the hair off your yellow lab, I'd imagine.

I like that zig zag one. Where's that from?

That is a Missoni rug from Home Sense.

I was SO pleased with that bargain. £600 rrp down to £150. Or so the ticket said.

Unfortunately the cats scratch their claws on it. Confused

All your rugs are floating.

Suggest you anchor them to furniture and see the difference.

I would put them slightly under nearby sofa and see how they look then. You can always add matching/contrasting cushions, lamp etc

I too love the zig zag!

What's wrong with floating rugs?

Just realised we have a floating rug. What's wrong with that?!

In a hallway, a rug had got to float, hasn't it?

I like your flooring winky, what is it?

It's just laminate. Cheap laminate. I wanted real wood but it would have cost £££££££s.

Have gone for jute rugs now. Loving them!

I think if rugs are near a piece of furniture they look better anchored-personal preference
