L shaped sofa - footstool or coffee table?

Dh wants a table and I can see his point. But I know he will end up with his feet on it anyway Smile. I'm thinking a footstool type thing with storage in it, but we don't have room for both - any ideas?

We went for a footstool with storage. It works fine as a table when needed, and two can have their feet up when watching telly.

We got a corner sofa with the footstool (which is about as big as one of the seats) and it's fantastic. Push it into the corner and you get enough room for two people to stretch out, so comfy for watching films. Plus we use it to put stuff on but as its not prinarily a table it never becomes cluttered. If you need somewhere to put things, maybe get a little telephone table? But yeah very pleased with our choice, we used to have a regular sofa and a coffee table and found it very clunky and in the way all the time. :)

Yes, you're both confirming my storage footstool is the best idea!

Yes to the footstool - you can put a tray on it when you're having tea etc. I have a table and end up putting my feet on it and hurting my ankles on the edge while DP hogs the L shaped end of the sofa

We have a big footstool which we can all get out feet on during movie nights or whatever.

I bought a large wooden tray to go on top, to collect miscellaneous items which always get left there, or use as a coffee/tea tray when friends are over. It's a really useful, flexible set up, more so than just a table.
