Hello,
Hoping someone can help me with a few problems we are having with ordering/purchasing/installing a new IKEA kitchen.
We have done our design in the Croydon store and have this morning had our pre-installation visit. The lady who came to do this has quoted £2000 extra to take away the old kitchen and to move some electrics.
We are getting the kitchen and installation on finance from IKEA, so were shocked that it was costing £2000 separately to take away the old kitchen - when kitchen companies include installation do they expect to come to an empty room with electrics moved etc.?
Does anyone have any experience of this? We are thinking of taking the old kitchen out ourselves and then getting electrical works done by a local guy/company and then having just fitting from the IKEA installers.
Our kitchen is around £3300 with installation then £2000 and then another £2000 paid directly to them (in cash!) to move a couple of plugs and take out the old kitchen, I just am shocked this can be correct??
Thank you in advance for any help. We have looked at other kitchens but don't like them as much as the IKEA one!
