We are redoing our kitchen/dining room, completely from scratch. It's about 3.5x6 meters so needs to be bright. I have just bought a burgundy range and have a few red accessories (Kettle, a few utensils, scales) that I would like to keep. Other than this I have a blank canvas. I have no idea where to start. I like grey cabinets and really like those Moroccan tiles that are in at the moment. The table can be painted. It's a 30s house so I don't want anything massively modern. I've searched pintrest but I just can't decide. Please help.
Agree that might be good to take a colour from something else - a soft green would also go nicely - I have creamy coloured units and burgundy tiles - we have a blind that has deep pinky colour and soft green checks so we picked the green from that for the walls. and we have deep pink (like a faded red denim) curtains at the patio doors in the dining room. Reading back that sounds a bit awful, but it is actually nice - honest ;)
I think a neutral unit colour such as grey, cream, ivory - or dare I say - 'GRIEGE' will make a great base for your purple range and can be easily updated with colourful accessories. Was thinking something like this?
