opinions on paint for bright hall and landing?

Our hall and landing is very bright, as the front and back doors both have windows at each side and are at each end. (Back door is upstairs.)

We have lived here 2 years and I am sick of the LLs magnolia. I had looked at asdas new paint range. Deep forest and sage leaf are nice, as is ground hazelnut.

I am open to suggestions as well as opinions. The carpet is a light biscuit colour but we might replace that in a few months anyway. Does the brightness mean we could use a dark colour, or does dark get over bearing, as the space is quite large with a lot of wall.

I have always rented, so never decorated, but we are settled here now with a long term tenancy, so I am looking forward to decorating but I have no clue where to start.

They are all lovely colours but the best way is to try a small sample on the wall - judge it in different lights, so morning sun can make paint glow and sunsets and dim lights all give a different effect.

Get some match pots!

I also spend hours on Pinterest looking at ideas. But if you have a light room with lots of wall a dark colour might be too shocking against the natural light - but if you get some sample pots try different shades and see what you think before you take the plunge
