Is it comfortable? I love the look of them but you can't sit on it before buying

Well, i love it. I'm looking at something very similar in either that colour or a green shade. John Lewis has some good sofas in the same mid-century style but a bit pricier.

I have the same qualms about it dating quickly but I think I love it enough to ignore them. Everything can look dated really.

I've heard mixed reviews about made.com. It's a pain you can't test before buying. Sorry, I'm no help. It's 1.40 am here and I'm jetlagged. I do love the sofa though Smile

Jetlag or no jetlag, there's too much love for sofas in that last post Blush

I would be very wary of buying from made. I've not heard great things re quality and delivery and though I've admired their stuff a few times the negative reviews have been what put me off actually buying. It is very cheap and I do think that there is truth in the old adage of if something looks too good to be true, then it probably is. Despite what the glossy website wants you to think.

I've been to their showroom and sat on it, the back was too low for me to be comfortable...

IMO that sofa doesn't look very comfortable or durable.

Thanks......

I do want it to be comfortable. At the moment i have one cream leather sofa and a second hand beuge chunky cord one! The cord one is more comfortable even though its a shocker to look at! If i replace it , it has to be with a comfortable sofa. What are next sofas like?

Recommend a sofa! (If u were happy with it)

Interesting Squeezy, I've heard similar reports. Sofas do have to withstand rather a lot of wear and tear and can last for years if the quality is there.

we have this in a four seater in charcoal. We went for charcoal.buttons too rather than the multocoloured. And foam cushions rather than feather.

I love it, it sits so so well in our living room.and is always complimented on. The delivery team were on time and swift (awkward layout had me worried it wouldnt get into the room). Service from store was great. Sofa is very comfy.

oh that's lovely thinki'vebeenhacked. I had forgotten about dfs. will have a look. it looks comfortable. can you curl up with your legs under you on it.

i'm quite small and I can't seem to do that on either of my sofas. the seat isn't long enough.

Their stuff was quite disappointing I thought when we visited their showroom. Loaf.com and sofa.com much better quality.

I bought mine from Sofa Sofa (Lucca Sofa). Similar price to Made.com. Great quality and wearing really well.

thanks, loads of sites to browse there. I love loaf com and I love their crate book case as well. Mmmm everything I like is expensive though. I wish I could fall in love with cheaper things. I like the way you can select the sofa and then select the fabric. Or was that sofa.com?!

what yall think of this?

i like it would be in a room with very pale mushroom colour walls. the other sofa is cream. I'd have to start another thread about cushions to link them together without being too matchy matchy. but one thing at a time?

I have this one from Made.com.

Very comfy and I am happy with the quality, finish and durability.
Friends of mine bought a similar one from DFS at the same time as we bought ours from Made. Theirs has worn badly, ours still looks new.

That's lovely. I love the zesty green. How long did you have to wait after ordering it?

Report
Pipbin · 07/11/2014 21:20

I think it was about 6 weeks in all. The matching armchair is lovely too. So big I can curl up in it.

Smukogrig · 07/11/2014 21:27

yes, i see that one has a seat depth of 64cm. The sofa I have now only has a seat depth of 57 and I just can't seem to get comfortable in a curled up way on it. I like that redford one. Good combination of style and comfort i'd guess.

Not sure about sofas... but I've bought console tables/desks from Made.com and the quality was fab. Very happy.

Of course the picture shows a scrawny ass slender model sitting on it, but it is very comfortable even for a traditionally proportioned woman.

Naughty black cats fit on it well too.
