Reposting about my arch shape window...

Originally in DIY, I should have put it here.

This is my window, it's in a bedroom so I'd like to get a curtain/blind something to block the light. Any ideas?

We had a window like this on our last house. I ended up putting one regular curtain across the whole thing because it was the cheapest option. The nicest (and most expensive) option is a custom made shutter. One on the neighbours had a roman blind with a fixed fabric top section covering the top semi circle. Another had an accordion type blind like the picture.

Save up & buy a custom made shutter, they are really expensive but look amazing.

Bottom up blind. I brought a retractable blind kit off ebay some blackout lining and some boning to give the blind stiffness at the arch. Small cup hook in the top centre of the arch. Works well, except for the eyelet hole to clip onto the hook, which i didn't form properly and is ripping.

No, I'm not that handy unfortunately. Its just a picture off google images but my neighbour had the same thing done by a local curtain place.
