New bed confusion

Warning, I am crap at decisions. Blush

Our bed has broken and needs replacing...has been mended repeatedly. The walls also need painting...I was thinking nice fresh white walls as we have wooden floorboards, Victorian pine, and lots of wood in our bedroom (wardrobes, bookcase, etc). Could do something to the floor if necessary...carpet, I guess.

We think we prefer a bedframe rather than divan (based on looks) but don't really understand why divans exist in the first place iyswim.

I like the look of this bed and it is really high quality sturdy construction with proper paint rather than a MDF laminate finish(urgh). Some other beds we've looked at are a bit flimsy.

BUT this bed is cream and I'd have to go for some other colour on the walls, right? Am I being silly? Bed shopping has proved to be a pita and you cant really tell how solid a bed is when shopping online. I'm tempted to just get it. Pale dusty green or blue would be okay on the walls, wouldn't it? Am just a bit sad about not getting a white bed.

Cant you paint the bed frame white yourself?

Ahahahahahaha! Soo funny! I'd have to get someone to do that for me, I'm afraid. Don't judge. Grin.

What about this:

I just got a new bed from them and I'm pretty pleased.

Yes, I had seen that one before - glad to have a recommendation! And the side struts seem sturdy enough.

I'm also considering this bed, totally off the original spec, though. Aren't people like me annoying? Grin

I've got a warren evans bed too. We've had it 12 years and moved with it twice and it's still really solid.

I couldn't cope with that one - I'd hit my shins on those corners every time I walked past it :(
