Magnolia but not magnolia

I'm moving house in a couple of weeks and starting to plan all my colour schemes.
In the spare bedroom I've decided on a white and green colour scheme. I already have a white metal bed and white painted furniture with pine tops. The curtains will be white with green ticking stripes and the bedcovers will be mainly white with some green embroidery.
I'm keeping the existing carpet which is neutral.
So I'm looking for a neutral paint colour as white will be too cold (I'm in Scotland). Something that will act as a backdrop and provide some warmth. Magnolia but not magnolia! Any ideas?

(I know it's boring)

There's lots of white with a hint of colours, maybe white with a hint ogf green. I'm going with cream in my hallway as I don't want magnolia but do want neutral.
:)

Dulux do a light+space colour called Absolute white, that's warm and bounces what natural light you have better around the room - perfect for Scotland !

white, it's called white, really nice colour ime. Scotland is dark enough already.

Dulux do one called timeless, it's like white but much warmer and without too much of the creamy colour you get with magnolia. I tested about 20 testers trying to find a whiteish colour I liked before picking this one and half my house is done in it.

If you've got kids get it in the endurance paint though or it will be a bugger to keep clean!

I've got natural hessian (dulux) on my landing which is the colour of Baileys and is gorgeous.

What's timeless like? Is there a contrast against white woodwork?

It's a warm white, is how I would describe it. Not stark or harsh looking.

I'm also in Scotland so I know what you mean about using white paint. When we want warmer than white, we use Dulux Natural Calico. It's excellent.

mumma24, we have timeless below a dado and white above. There is a subtle but noticeable contrast against white woodwork. It's a less bright colour than Jasmine White but I like both.

Oops! Every time I google one of the colours mentioned I find more MN threads about the same kind of colours!
One mentioned Dulux Chalky Downs which I think is a contender. It's a mix to order shade so you get it in the different strengths (if that's the right word).

Dulux Natural Calico is a lovely sort of putty coloured cream rather than pinky like magnolia.
