Coolie lampshades for table lamps?

Years ago shops were full of coolie style lampshades ( for table lamps)
Now they all seem to be drum/ cylinder types.

I am searching for a 50cm cream shade which is not too high, to go on a large, round ceramic lamp base.

I used to be able to buy replacement shades at John Lewis but the best they have now is one 30cm size, or a 40cm size which is ok but too high and the wrong colour cream.

Have checked out B&Q and other cheaper stores- nothing.

Anyone?

Otherwise I'm going to have to change the base as the lampshade is a bit grubby now.

Hi Josephine,
I make lampshades, if that helps. You can choose your own fabric and sizes then. My website is //www.sweemei.co.uk if you want to have a look and get in touch. No coolie shades on there but not a problem to make one. (Not sure I'm allowed to write this message!)

Wow Georgiesgirl, I'm drooling over your lampshades! Makes me wish I had more rooms in my flat (and more money in my bank Wink)
