I am looking for a new sofa, budget up to £1000 - the room will be painted F&B Pavilion Grey with white woodwork/alcoves and duck egg blue rug. Can anyone suggest anything? I like Graham and Green, Sofa.com, Oka etc but all are out of budget. Also what would work as a good neutral colour?

Keep an eye on the official sofa.com ebay page link - they sell returned items/warehouse stock off cheap.

I've also seen recommendations on here for Sofasofa, they are a lot cheaper and have some nice styles.

Colourwise, some kind of dark beige/pale brown might work well (linen type of colour) but really you need swatches...

Sofasofa do nice looking sofas, but my parents had some and they were not at all supportive. They ended up being replaced after a few years of light use.

Plum or a reddish purple would be nice with the colours you're choosing, btw. Or else stick with charcoal or grey, if you want a true neutral.

What sort of style are you wanting, anyhow? M&S sofas are very good for the cost and come in a wide range of colours and fabrics. They have lots of fabric samples in their larger stores, or else you can order them online. They also often have 30% off.

I am in love with the Graham and Green raspberry velvet sofas, can I get this colour anywhere else?

I will check out m&s thanks. Also maybe john lewis. I think id like a raspberry sofa and might also get a couple of neutral grey/natural armchairs.

Sofa Workshop do a raspberry velvet colour. They have sales quite often so might be worth looking at.
