Want to go to Japan on the cheap around Easter time.

Any tips, please?

I went on a cruise with Norwegian last year over Easter. £1599 for 11 nights cruising along China and Japan starting in Hong Kong for 2 nights and ending with another 2 nights in Tokyo

Inside Japan tours are well priced, especially if you do the Self-guided tours. Non group or tour director which means you can do everything at your own pace.

QOD - did that include flights?

It included flights with airlines like Balcan air which we upgraded. Lol
Plus 2 nights hotel each which we also did BUT mums 70 so wanted a bit more guaranteed conform

The cherry blossom was AMAZING and was early so we followed it round

I’ll see if i can find a link to it still

Not necessarily price saving, but think about checking out the rural areas north of Tokyo, Yamagata Prefecture for example. Its a lovely chance to see more of the real Japan than just the cities etc

Also getting the odd meal from the 7-11 helped our budget - they sell noodle bowls ( which you can then get made up with hot water there too)

I’ve not kept the blummin itinerary anywhere but did make albums 👍🏻
Was Heathrow to Hong King via Abu Dhabi
Then China - ports listed
Then Japan. Finishing in Tokyo

Originally we were due to have 2 stops in South Korea but we weren’t allowed in the end

You DO need a visa to enter China btw

It looks impossible to go until late May so will miss cherry blossom.

I want to go in Easter hols but dh against it as we already have a few nights in U.K. booked already for Eaaterr hols.

If we are going to miss the cherry blossom I wonder if late Oct would be easier and we could see the autumn colours instead?

Just so looking forward to it but the dates with school are so limited!

If money were no object I'd just go alone. But we can't afford to do this another time with the kids.
