Has anyone been?? We're hoping to go at Easter, 3 kids 2,4,6. Trying to work out what's best to do in terms of it and Legoland and how many days are needed in each.
All advice greatly appreciated

You need a day in each park maybe a spare so three days, they are across from each other and if you buy a park hopper ticket it's worth it. I bought our tickets through Attraction Tickets and used cash back, Quidco if they're still offering a deal. This was last August. Universal is good but crazy busy depending when you go, we had VIP tickets which included food and extras but if we go again we will just do fast pass which is worth doing.

We loved it, depends on how into Disney you are for the amount of days though! We did 3 & didn't feel it was enough. 4-5 would be better to really feel like is done. The details are amazing & far superior to any other Disney park IMO. It has a very special feeling about it. There's also knotts berry farm, which is easy to get to via the ART buses. If your thinking of universal, I would relocate to a close hotel. LA traffic is horrendous & unpredicatable, you can sit in it for hours on a 10 min journey. You'll have an amazing time Grin

Did you go on the big Ferris Wheel with the carriage sliding back and forth, I involuntarily screamed really loud the first time it dropped and a man opposite thanked me for being the entertainment BlushGrin

Oh yes the traffic, I was told add 90 mins to any expected time, they weren't kidding!

Thanks for the replies! So do you think 3 days in Disney and 1 in legoland? I think kids are too young for universal. Is it worth paying up for a Disney hotel in order to have early park access?

I would not bother with Universal at their ages; its also miles away from Anaheim which is where Disneyland is located.

There are plenty of hotels in Anaheim and practically all of them run shuttle buses to the parks. I would not necessarily therefore stay on Disney property. With the ages of your children being what they are I would say 4-5 days being ideal for a visit.

(I remember all too well the moving cars on the ferris wheel Ginorchoc. The signage there now is much clearer and properly now indicates the moving cars; there are now two separate entrances).

LEGOLAND is located at Carlsbad which is about 60 minutes south of Anaheim.

A two day pass may be a better bet.
