Hello everyone
I was wondering if anyone could recommend books about women in business and work in the 20th century, especially women who were doing well or groundbreaker type women. I'm particularly interested in the period around WW2. I have the Virginia Nicholson book "Millions Like us" but it's most about the home front.
I'm really interested in the progression of women in work and how they got to rise to better posts etc. To be honest I could do with a book that's quite clearly set out, the Nicholson book is one that weaves around a lot, great for dedicated history students maybe but I found it quite frustrating to read.
Thanks.
