Did you mean Dan Jones? Dan Snow is great too but I think the book is by Jones.

I've dipped in and out, fascinating period.

Yes, I'm reading it now, and enjoying it. What do you think? My only problem that I'm reading it on my kindle, which doesn't work as well as print IMO. I'm researching Eleanor of Brittany, who has a fascinating story. I always feel sorry for Henry II, who (within the constraints of his time) seems to have been a Good Thing, as they would say in 1066 and all that.
