Historical Needlework exhibition - Witney, Oxfordshire

There is going to be an exhibition 15th-28th October 2012 entitled 'For Pleasure and Ornament; Embroidered Art Treasure 1580 - 1835'

I am hoping to go and see this exhibition in person as I've never seen this sort of stuff outside of the V&A

Has anyone seen the Tudor clothes they have in the V&A museum? They are so detailed and so tiny - would fit the size of a 12 yr old these days. I could spend days and weeks in that place!

No, I haven't seen them.

I went to a castle last year that had an exhibit of Henry VIII and his six wives. Beautiful work on their clothes. What surprised me was how tiny they all were, with Henry being just a bit bigger than his wives. The 12 year old boy we had with us was bigger than them. Incredible.
