I studied an undergrad course starting September 2015 but dropped out in second year (my finance account says the whole two years were paid for). I was 19 then, I’m now 24 and want to go back September 2021 to study a nursing degree. I have the entry requirements already however this time my circumstances are different (I’ve had two children since then and am now a single parent receiving universal credit). I’ve done some research but it’s not clear if I can actually be funded again. I abandoned my course in 2016 as I was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t carry on although my previous university/student finance don’t know this. I did a free course in domestic abuse and the lady running it seemed to think that I could be refunded if I tell them the reason I left. Is there a space on the application where you can give them your personal circumstance like that?
Can I be funded again? Do the nhs still pay for nhs courses? Would I get the funding based on my circumstances?
