Year of study abroad

My daughter is due to spend her second year studying abroad. I'm wondering if this will now change due to the current pandemic.

Has anyone had any guidance from their University yet?

It's just too early to say.

The university will be ultra cautious. We know about 10 people who got sent home in March... I would prepare her to be disappointed or for second term only.

Some US and Australia universities have already cancelled all student mobility in the 2020/21 academic year. I think UK universities will be more likely to wait a while longer, but in the circumstances they will err on the side of caution.

Dd has picked modules for Y3 in case her year abroad doesn't happen - she's supposed to be language assistant in France from October. Her uni has said if it can't be arranged for 2020/21 they will simply miss it out, not great for an MFL course...
