Highers/Advanced Highers results 6th August

Hi, just wanted to wish the DC of Scottish parents good luck and hope that they get what they need tomorrow!!! Based on previous years those that have signed up for txt messages should get the results pretty sharp at 8am.

Results are pending here for one DC but no uni application as they decided to wait until S6 to apply!

Aurea hope that your DC gets his Oxford place.

I hope it's gone well for everyone - wobbly knees here at 8am! Can anyone here let me know if my daughter could apply for Oxford with 4 As and a B at Scottish Higher, if she's also planning to do Advanced Highers as well?

MrsBewildered - yes she can apply but she will probably need AAA in her advanced highers. And she needs to get a move on because the closing date is in mid October and her UCAS form will probably need to be submitted by end of September So the school can do her reference.

YY and it takes ages to craft. I’d be getting her to start in a few weeks TBH, one of my kids finally settled on version 27. The school weren’t geared up to help her, they only started talking to the kids about it in October - no use for early applicants.

She needs to check the subject and test requirements here
