Student loans

My ds is still nowhere near firming as he is waiting for his fifth offer/rejection but my thoughts are turning to student finance. He has an older sister at university accessing finance already; is it likely that her loan amount will be increased and his will match it as we are top up funding two at university? My daughter gets a middling amount of loan and although my DH is on a reasonable salary I don't work (carer to younger twin siblings with a disability) and top up funding for two at that rate is going to be expensive.

Thank you. That was really helpful, if a bit depressing!

Unfortunately there is only a tiny, tiny allowance for having two students.
Also watch out for the fact that the third / final year of student loan is smaller.
