police degree apprenticeships

Does anyone know anything about the police degree apprenticeships, various police website states they will start spring /summer 2018 but I cant find any being offered anywhere

Eldest Ds is a volunteer police cadet.
He is off to Lincoln in September to do Crimnology degree. Also applied to a couple of policing degrees at CIScarborough and Derby.
Wife works for Police and we know HR staff in recruitng. They say you will need a degree by 2021 preferly policing or crimnology.
But already Humberside Police's recriuting for now wants minimum A level or somilar qualification and the recruits will have to spend their 2 to 3 years studying for a policing diploma/degree par

Have to study part time for 2 to 3years to get policing diploma/degree in own time. Some of his cadet leaders are doing it in local college/uni
Humberside are also funding certain officers degrees in specialist roles ie terroism.
I think they will be similar to the higher apprenticeships already on offer. I get the feeling College of Policing are heavily involved and possibly playing catch up.
Have you looked on the College of Policing website. All PC training has to meet their standards, though locally delivered.
Ds1 is helping to train to train PSU (riot) officers as we speak until 2230
Not sure I have been a great help, but that's seems to be all Ds knew too

I hadn't realised criminology would be a suitable degree.

Don't want to hijack thread, But firs anyone know what BTEC might be suitable to a criminology/police degree?

May I call you that?
Lincoln/Hull to universities Ds applied to for crimnology degress, both have very close links to Lincolnshire and Humberside police respectivity, and requirely place students in them; plus Lincoln has paid internships at PCC and Adult/Child offending teams.
Btec not sure, but all our local fe colleges do public services or uniform services, at level 2 and 3, not sure if BTec though or first degrees in similar, then degree either with them or entry to Hull/CUScarborough.
Ds did history, geography, failed chemistry, so done a AS in crimnology instead, plus world development.
He as an unconditional place at Lincoln and was offered one at Scarborough too.

If you search btecs I can study before studying Crimnology, it brings up Student room threads and also lots of colleges offering level diplomas in Crimnolgy.
Pearson offer one and there is a link to WJEC, but that might be AS or A levels

Bucks New Uni in High Wycombe do degree in Police sudies with criminology plus you get to be PCSO at same time

user1471450935 I can find reference to them on the college of policing website ( that is where I first read about it) but nowhere seems to be offering this specific degree apprenticeship yet. Maybe it is running behind schedule as a scheme.
