Masters application as a mature student

In my infinite wisdom I've decided to apply for a part time MSc as the modules described on the flyer/website sound really interesting, will support my day job and (hopefully) enable me to do it better.

I've emailed the university I'd like to study at, outlining my qualifications and experience and they've assured me I'm a suitable candidate so I'm now attempting to write a CV and statement of purpose to support my application. Their website is clear what to include in the statement of purpose (what I'd put in the personal statement part of a job application - why I want to do the course and why they should offer me a place). Which leaves me with the CV.

Having never written an academic CV I've done some googling and have found various formats. But beyond qualifications and employment history, most of the other information seems to be either irrelevant or included on the statement of purpose. Can any of you advise me whether a 1 page CV of facts & dates is likely to be sufficient? Or do I need to go back to the university to ask them what they're looking for? Help! I feel like I'm stumbling around in the dark with this application and don't know anyone who's ever done anything like this to ask them!!

I recently started a part time Masters as a mature student. I just sent a copy of my normal CV when I applied. I spoke to the course leader on the phone before applying and he gave me some excellent guidance on the application, so it might be worth contacting them.

Thank you for your quick response. I think a call to the university will be on my to do list for this week!

Just a one page outline will be fine. I don't know of any institution able to turn down experienced Masters applicants.

Interesting titchy - I hadn't thought about it like that! I think part of my diffidence about applying is because my original degree was from a Polytechnic and this is Oxbridge - it's a whole new world for me!
