Open University, not sure what to study

I can't decide which one I should pick if I'm honest, either Criminal Psychology or Law. 23 with 2DS (1 + 4)

GCSE's aren't great tbh, so I don't even know if they're good enough to even study these subjects

Why do you want to do a degree? Is it interest? Career prospects? Which one do you think you'd enjoy the most?

Which level 3 qualifications do you have? If you haven't studied at level 3 ( Alevels, BTec extended etc), you could do an access to HE course. This will give you an academic brush up and also give you an idea of which degree you would like to study.

That's all I have sadly! Studied performance arts after school but couldn't Persue due to injuries from a car crash!

Law is most probably more my interest because I've been through the family court id hope it would then lead to a career in it

Given that you've been through the family courts, how would you feel about representing a father who was clearly antagonistic to the mother and using the court system to continue to bully his ex? Not being snippy, but useful to explore your feelings around this if you want to pursue a career in this area.

Agree with doing an Access course first though, regardless.

I honestly don't know! I wouldn't want to be the one representing him most likely know what he's like (DS1's dad didn't have a solicitor) I'd have to leave all emotion out of it I guess!

I quite like Behaviour Analysis as well so maybe CP would help with that?

I'll look into the Access Course though!

I did a fantastic Access course which was split into 3 subjects, like A levels. I took Psychology, Criminology and Health science. It only took me 9 months full time which was 2 days a week. OU do their own access courses though but I really enjoyed the benefit of having others around me who were in the same position, mainly mums who wanted to persue a career after having had children. I made some very good friends at college and even though we all ended up at different unis studying different courses we all stay in touch.
