What is a BMAT?

DS1 is in the process of finishing his UCAS form and I've never heard him mention a BMAT .......what is it?

Biomedical aptitude test. Used by lots of universities as an extra medicine assessment. Others use UKCAT.

Its used as an extra admission criteria for some universities for medicine vet science etc.
Normally it's specified in the admission criteria so if he / you haven't been made aware of it till now I suspect he doesn't need it.
However if he needed it for sept 2016 it's too late as the exam was a few weeks ago and the results are due out on Wednesday.

He's too late anyway - deadline was 15 October for med etc!

the deadline for oxbridge bmat was 1st oct
hes lucky he missed it. cuts down the stress!

UCAS deadline was 15/10 for ALL medicine apps, not just bmat ones.

Phew! DS isn't wanting to study Medicine so that's one less thing to worry about smile
