I'm looking to apply to primary education courses starting in sept14.
I'm currently 2 years behind as I have/had cfs and therefore I have dissappointing gcses- A, 5B's, C and a D. I also have ICT grade A at A2l and AAB in business studies, economics and health and social care at AS and will be take the first to till A2 and hoping for and A or B grade.
Do you think that I will get any offers and which unis do you think I should apply for.
Thanks

What I think you need to do is start trawling through the universities that offer BEd courses and see how your qualifications will match their entry requirements . It will also be vital for you to have English and Maths GCSE at C or above. UCAS have a course listing facility and you can use this to find suitable courses. You need to get a move on though as there will be very few open days remaining and you need to get started with your application. So many courses are available, you really need to think where you would like to be and what course suits you best. If you meet or exceed the criteria for the courses you should get offers.

Thank you so much for your reply. Yes I have a B in maths, english and science. I meet all the criteria and have been through the UCAS website, I'm just worried that because of my weak gcses and the fact only one of alevels will be a national curriculum subject that they will turn me down.

Many universities ignore GCSE grades and your AS grades are good.

So if you explain in your personal statement, and your reference says the same, you should get some offers.
