Am considering a total career change. Have been in marketing for 10 years and want to study a health related degree, possibly nursing or physiotherapy. I have a young dd who is 15 months. I know its a tough road but has anyone done anything similar? Can u share how it has been for you? Is this do able? Or am I mad? Am 35 in case that matters!

I did all three of my degrees with young DC. I started my BA with 2 aged 3 and 18 months. I went straight into a MA and had my 3rd in the middle. My youngest was 6mths old when I started my PhD. It is doable :)

I treated my studies like a job, drop off at nursery/school straight into uni work till pick-up time. Spent then till bed time with the DC then when they went to sleep caught up with everything else. I didn't have work placements, so did not need to find childcare for evenings/weekends.

If you want it badly enough you'll find a way to work it out.
