Recommendations for highchair

What are your highchair recommendations please? My baby is only 4 months but starting to think about it and would be useful to start using it soon so I can put them in there whilst I cook etc so would like it to be very comfortable. I know people recommend the IKEA one but is it useful to have one with a foot rest? And one that reclines/spins?

This looks similar to the ikea one but has a footrest and better harness

I have a joie one but wish we had just gone with the ikea one as it is quite hard to clean as so many little crevices. You can buy a footrest for the ikea one (not from ikea) and considering how cheap it is then it still works out reasonable with the rest. No need for a spin or recline, we have one that folds up and almost never fold it up

The Ikea one is brilliant. You can get a blow up insert for it which will make it comfier for your baby. No need for a high chair to spin or recline.

The ikea one really is good esp as so easy to clean (NB the legs stick out a surprising amount - I tripped over it more than once, but then I am quite clumsy!). With hindsight I think a footrest would have been good - I’ve seen some advertised on FB that slide onto the legs.

Definitely don’t see the point in a reclining high chair - seems like a massive choking risk to me.

We have Tripp Trapps. They were stupidly expensive but they are still used daily and Ds are 10. I sit in one when I am working.

We needed something that would work in our lounge / diner and these fit under the table when pushed in.

Can't imagine why you would need a spinning or reclining high chair.

I have a mothercare highchair. It has 6 levels, pretty sturdy and comfy. I think I paid about 55 quid for it about 18 months ago. I found it really good as she sat really upright in it, it was cushioned, and she never slipped etc. She did use the IKEA one at her GPs and it seemed fine, although she was a little small in it up to about 8 months (she is generally a small kid). Easy to clean though. Cheap and cheerful.

Thanks so much all. I think I will perhaps try the IKEA one and just buy a foot rest and comfy insert for it. Only things that put me off are that it doesn't fold away and that the legs seem to stick out a bit but it's a good price and seems highly rated. Thanks again

The ikea tray is a bitch to remove and only has a lap belt
The one I posted has a proper harness and a footrest

I love the cosatto 3sixti. Easy to clean, tray comes out and goes in the dishwasher, multiple height and tilt options.

I like this High chair very much with its Quality that is Foldable and lightweight as I can take that anywhere. That might be Helpful to your Child with its Foldable and Portable function at an affordable price.
