Space is always an issue in our house. Highchair becoming necessary baby nearly 6 months. But need one that is sturdy when up and folds super flat, also easy to clean! Any suggestions?

You could just get a booster seat, so you can remove it when not in use? I know lots of people that have done that. Something like this

we got one a few years ago from Mothercare, which folded flat, a bit like an ironing board (like most of them do) but then folded in half again so we could keep it under the kitchen table completely.
very sturdy too.
cossato slim jim looks the nearest thing to it on MC website now.

Codsatto looks good just wondering the height? It looks quite low! Booster no good as my chairs are upholstery! Would be a nightmare Smile

we have a chicco one that is good, very sturdy, can withstand my just 4yr old ds4 clmbing into it and sitting in it etc, it was from kiddicare, eay to clean etc, and was a reasonable price as well, will try and find a link.

I know it sounds silly but I want it the usual height. Some highchairs are really low and poor little baby will get bashed over the head with or by a brother if he's not at a decent height Blush

our cossato one was the normal height so we could all sit round the table and chat at teatime

the chicco one is normal height, i can take the tray off and dd can sit at our table and be the right height, 4 big brothers hear and no getting bashed over the head yet!

We have this one from Kiddicare
It's dead easy to clean (including straps) and as the children get bigger you can put the table bit down at the back and just pull it up close to the table. DS was a little miffed at having to vacate it for DD when she was 6 months & he was 3.6. He'll still climb into it now if he has the opportunity. Very sturdy!!

Our Cosatto one is normal height when up. It folds down to slim half height one if that makes sense!

We got one of these:

high chair

which has been a total godsend.
It just sits on one of your normal chairs and can either be used with the tray or take that off and use the table like everyone else.
It folds to size of laptop when not in use and can go out and about. It is easy to clean and straps all come off to go in washing machine.
I LOVE it and thank goodness we found it as our previous traditional highchair took up half the available floor space!

p.s we have upholstered seats but just put a cover protector underneath and no problem. :)

We have 6 children at home permanently so booster not an option as poor baby he'd get elbowed by a teenage brother! The cossatto looks like the one for us as it's the right height, right price and fits the bill! Thanks all for input Grin
