Malaria still kills 400,000 people a year, and 70% of those who die are children under 5 years old. 400 million people fall sick because of it. The single biggest way to help prevent this is to protect people from biting insects as they sleep at night.
With the matchfunding offered by the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal, even a small donation to The Against Malaria Foundation could help you kick off 2019 with a warm fuzzy feeling.
£1.40 will buy a Long Lasting Insecticidal Bednet that protects two people as they sleep at night for up to three years. Every penny of public donations to the Against Malaria Foundation goes on nets; all those nets cover beds and heads, and we prove it.
Please give whatever you can, knowing it will make the difference between preventable sickness and health to children and families worldwide.
Give yourself a 3 minute break and watch some smiles and sunshine from one of our distributions in Kadokolene, Uganda.
AMF is delighted to be chosen as one of Mumsnet’s Charities, and wishes you all a Happy, Healthy 2019!
