I have 2 interviews tomorrow.....

1st one at a day nursery for Nursery Asst position

2nd one at a veterinary surgery for Veterinary Asst

When the interviewer asks if I have any questions at the end, I never know what to say so if anyone has any examples of questions I should ask, I would be very very grateful!!!

I used to have a phrase along the lines of "well, I did have some questions, but you seemed to have covered everything in the interview"... flattery gets you everywhere! Good luck with them both

"I think I have had my say, thank you" - so make sure that you have already said the three things about you that best fit the job; in general it's a question for politeness rather than assessing the candidate.

Not everyone agrees with me, of course: see here for an American view, from which a good question is "What?s the most important thing I can do to help within the first 90 days of my employment?" and a bad question is "How many warnings do you get before you are fired?" :-)

Another long American list includes "How soon do you expect to make a decision?" which they ought to have answered, and shouldn't tax them too much.

I quite like this UK set particularly the "Why did you come to work here? What keeps you here?" type.

So put the interviewers at their ease - they'll probably be nervous - and good luck!

The vetinary interview might ask 'how would you deal with a customer who has just had a pet put down'

How do I answer that one?

well, i went for the vetinary interview and she explained the job to me. I would be expected to stick needles in the animals, be there for theatre operations, put the animals down etc etc...sounds like loads of responsibility.

Anyway, there was this indoor kind of swimming pool and this may sound like a dumb question - would it be for the drowning of animals (like euthanasia) or would it be like physio for the dogs so they can swim in it?
